Please note that all foods are assigned to only one "Specialty" category. Therefore, some foods also appropriate for adult pets, or other life stages, may be found within the “Sensitive” category.
Innova Large Breed Senior Dog Food is formulated as a transition diet for large or giant breeds who age more quickly and are therefore considered seniors when they’re as young as six years old.
Innova Large Breed Senior Dog Food has more protein and slightly less calories than Innova Large Breed Adult Dog Food to help maintain your dog’s lean body as he or she ages while glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate have been added to help maintain healthy joints and cartilage. Innova Large Breed Senior Dog Food provides complete and balanced nutrition for maintenance.
Nutritional Adequacy
Innova Large Breed Senior Dog Food has been formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials) Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for maintenance. This product is intended for mature large breed dogs of 5 years of age or older. It is NOT intended for growing puppies or dogs under 2 years of age.
Innova Large Breed Senior Canned Dog Food is available in 5.5 oz. and 13.5 oz. cans.
Five Food Groups
Each Innova® product, with the exception of Innova PRIME Grain Free products, is formulated with ingredients from the five food groups - protein, dairy, vegetables, fruits and grains, plus fats and oils - to offer the ultimate in holistic nutrition.
Turkey/Chicken 1st
Innova uses only high-quality chicken and/or turkey, never poultry by-products, as the first ingredient in many of our foods.
Fruits & Vegetables
All Innova products contain wholesome, healthful fruits and vegetables like apples and carrots.
EPA + DHA
EPA and DHA are special omega-3 fatty acids important in eye and brain development. These omega-3's are only available from marine sources.
Maintenance
Our maintenance foods are hard at work every day providing complete and balanced nutrition for adult dogs and cats.
Large Breed
Our large breed formulas are tailored for each life stage. For large breed puppies, calcium and phosphorus levels are controlled to help support proper skeletal development. For large breed adult and senior dogs, glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate help support joint health.
Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulfate
Together, these compounds are used to help maintain joint health. This formula contains glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate to provide building blocks for healthy cartilage.
Commonly referred to as Typical Nutrient Analysis (NA), this describes the nutrient content that a specific pet food formula is expected to achieve based on data from the formula database, or in some cases, from an actual laboratory assay. The goal in posting the Typical NA is to provide nutritionists and veterinarians with information that can aid in the treatment of clinical problems such as a cat with struvite or in working with overly obese dogs to prescribe feeding amounts and diet choice for the animal's success.
